Description

Kendall Notation: is a system developed to allow the key characteristics of a specific queuing model to be described with 3 characteristics in the following form 1/2/3.

The First characteristic identifies the nature of the arrival process using: M = Markovian interarrival times (following an exponential distribution) D = Deterministic interarrival time (not random).

The Second Characteristic identifies the nature of the service time using: M = Markovian service time (exponential distribution) G = General service time (non-exponential distribution) D = Deterministic service time (not random)

The Third Characteristic is the number of servers available.
